She later appeared in Majestic opposite Darshan and the Telugu film Dongodu with Ravi Teja in the lead, while making her Tamil debut with Sabapathy`s triangular love story Punnagai Poove. Rekha in a chat with sify.com reveals why Tamil films are close to her heart...
Why the long gap after your last Tamil film?
I guess an artist can work only in one film at a time and as I was busy in other languages, I couldn’t concentrate on a career in Tamil. Also, I was very young when I did my first Tamil film Punnagai Poove and didn't have the proper guidance.
Any directors and actors you would like to work with here?
I love the Tamil industry, have a lot of respect for the directors and actors there. I would love to work with everyone, and do all different kind of roles because that is what an artist is all about.
