And just to add that glittering edge, he roped in Salman Khan for the event that marked his son Sabarish's debut in Kollywood.
The launch was held at PVR Cinema on Wednesday (June 15). Also present were Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Shriya Saran. Others included Jayam Ravi, M.S. Bhaskar, Sri Hari, V.C. Guhanathan and directors K.S. Ravikumar, Mysskin, Dharani, Seeman and Sargunan.
The event certainly was top on Sallu's to-do list because the actor flew in on a chartered flight from Chandigarh, where he's shooting for the Siddique-directed Bodyguard, a remake of Vijay's Kaavalan.
A trailer of Markandeyan and three songs were played out during the event. The action flick stars Sabarish, Pinky and Telugu actor Sri Hari, who plays the baddie. The film has music by Sundar C. Babu, who was also present on the occasion. Salman Khan in his speech praised FEFSI Vijayan Master and his style of choreographing action scenes". The actor's two big hits Wanted and Dabangg featured elaborate action scenes by Vijayan. He also had praise for debutant Sabarish and called him, Little Master.
"I wish little master kicks everybody and hope he becomes a big star. Seeing the trailer and songs, I'm impressed with him," said Sallu.
