Samantha will play the romantic interest of newcomer Gautham, Tamil actor Karthik`s son.
Mani Ratnam wants to start the film soon and finish the first schedule before summer sets in and then film the rest during the monsoon.
Currently, Samantha is working for Gautham Menon`s trilingual movie that is in the last leg of shoot. She`s also shooting for Naga Chaitanya`s Autonagar Surya. From Jan 23rd, she will join the shoot of Mahesh Babu`s Setamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.
