Model−turned−actor Saqib Saleem visited Gurudwara to learn about Punjabi culture and language and prepare for his role in the new film Mere Dad Ki Maruti.

The 24-year-old plays the role of Raj, a Chandigarh boy in debutant director Ashima Chibber's new film movie, produced by Y-Films, a youth wing of Yash Raj Films.

"I started hanging out with my north Indian friends again and I started going to a Gurudwara in Andheri, Mumbai, so I could sense a little Chandigarh in me. So there was this guy, who had a shop outside Gurudwara... he used to sell lockets and kadas [religious bangles]," Saqib, who hails from Delhi but lives in Mumbai, said.

"I interacted with him for 10 days and tried to imbibe his body language. It wasn't difficult because I belong to north," he added.
