Besides Shahid Kapur and Katrina Kaif, who were awarded for their acting prowess, the others who were honoured included: Krushnaa Patil, the second youngest Indian girl to scale Mount Everest; Indian Space Research Organisation Chairman G Madhavan Nair; social worker Rajshree Birla; entrepreneur Rohit Kochhar; Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra; child prodigy Avika Gor; chairman of Dainik Bhaskar Ramesh Chandra Agarwal; and owner of Times of India Vineet Jain.
The function was enlivened by performances by Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Esha Deol and Hussain Kuwajerwala.
