Whether it is thanks to sympathy votes or the racial debate, Shilpa Shetty has made history on British television. After she joined the Big Brother show on January 3, alleged racial tension garnered her a faithful fan following. Her tears brought in nearly five million additional viewers, had popularity ratings for the show jumping, and started a debate on racial discrimination.
And finally, she beat Jermaine Jackson (Michael Jackson’s brother) with 63 per cent of the final vote, to win the Big Brother booty.
