Hari has also repeated Vivek, Vijayakumar, Nassar, and Radha Ravi from the first part while Rahman and Mukesh Rishi have been added to the cast. British actor Danny Sapani plays the deadly villain in the film. Devi Sri Prasad who did part one is once providing music for Singam 2.
Hari, the director of the Singam franchise said: “Singam 2 is a real sequel. All the characters who were part of the first are there except Prakash Raj who was killed. To be frank, I had thought of the sequel when we were making part one. Singam 2 will show further adventures of Dorai Singam, and here he has the support of not only Tamil Nadu police but also Andhra and Kerala Police.”
The director says he has shot the film in various locations, Kerala, Tuticorin, Chennai, Hyderabad, Tirunelveli, Karaikudi, South Africa, Kenya and Malaysia. Hari added: “The film travels all over south India and the climax is in overseas location.”
Singam 2 is produced by Lakshman Kumar under the banner of Prince Productions. The film is expected to release this summer.
