Spielberg, Jackson team up for The Adventures of Tintin

Georges "Herge" Remi's iconic characters - Tintin and Captain Haddock - are coming to the big screen in 2011 in a motion capture 3-D film titled The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn, directed by Steven Spielberg.

Herge and Spielberg had met in 1983, before the Belgian artist passed away, to discuss making a film based on The Adventures of Tintin.

The film is being produced by Peter Jackson, along with Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy. Jackson's company Weta Digital is providing the computer animation.
