Dr Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Ilayaraja, Balakrishna, Nayantara, Bapu, Swathi Balram, Murali Mohan, Paruchuri Gopalakrishna, Srikanth, Khammam MP Nama Nageswara Rao, Jonnavittula, Boyapati Seenu, Naginedu, Sagar, Dasarath, Bhupal, child artistes and others were present.
Much to the fanfare, Balakrishna ascended the stage in a dhoti, while Nayantara too was seen in a traditional silk saree, befitting the occasion. Akkineni Nageswara Rao unveiled film logo.
Audio CD was unveiled by Balakrishna, who presented the first number to Badrachalam temple priest Krishnamacharya. ANR and Balayya received a mammoth felicitation with giant garlands.
ANR said: "As I see our fans at the horizon, I feel gratified. When the producer came to me and sought me to do the role of sage Valmiki, I said that it would be difficult at this time when the girls are just ripping through with bikinis.
Balakrishna said that he would not have done the role of Lord Rama if not for Nayantara. She brought the holy grace to the film as Godesss Sita Devi.
Maestro Ilayaraja said: "My music belongs to people. I did the job for the people. In fact, it is very difficult to speak about music.
Nayantara said that she was highly blessed for doing the role of Goddess Sita, and thanked the producer and hero Balakrishna for the unique opportunity.
