KV Anand’s Maattrraan is set for an October 12th release and is already raising expectations thanks to its winning Ayan combo of Suriya and Anand.
The bilingual is also set for a simultaneous Telugu release in its dubbed version titled Brothers. The big news is that for the first time, Suriya is going to dub for the Telugu version in his own voice.
According to sources close to him, the actor is busy taking Telugu lessons to brush up his pronounciation and diction for the dubbing .
Though all his films have been releasing in Telugu too, the dubbing for his character has been done by others. So this effort on the actor’s part will surely give his Telugu fans an extra special zing to hear the expressions of the hero in his very own voice. Yamudu and 7th Sense were some of the actor's last Telugu releases.
It maybe recalled that his brother Karthi, seeing the success of his first Telugu version of Ayirathil Oruvan, took the trouble to learn the language and has been regularly dubbing for himself in his own voice in his Telugu flicks like Awaara, Naa Peru Shiva and others to date. He also gives interviews in fluent Telugu on TV and internet channels. This is no doubt one of the reasons his fan base is growing in that market.
With Suriya now following suit, looks like the Sivakumar brothers are setting yet another bench mark of diligence, keeping audience satisfaction as the premium goal.
