The film started shooting in Mumbai last week.
It focuses on the lives of Malayalees affected by the Mumbai chain bomb blasts in July 2006, in railway stations and moving trains.
Mammootty joined the sets of The Train last Friday after completing his Doubles in Pondicherry.
The actor took great risk and shot in the busy streets of Mumbai and places like Victoria Terminal and Nariman Point.
The star cast includes Jayasurya, Jagathi, Balaji, Anjali Sabarwal and Sabitha Jayaraj.
