When news of Batman's butler's death reached us, we had a montage of Alfred flash threw our minds. He's a memory from childhood. We've seen him intermittently over the years as the caped crusader's pillar of strength. It saddens us that we won't have his reassuring presence every time Batman chooses to go after a villain on screen.
