The most villainous villains of 2007

The most villainous villains of 2007_files

In a year filled with light-hearted blockbusters like Welcome, Partner and Heyy Babyy, the old-fashioned hero/villain struggle was almost passé. And when a film warranted a baddie, the usual suspects of the 80s and 90s like Shakti Kapoor and Gulshan Grover were missing. Instead, actors as diverse as Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Rampal and Jimmy Sheirgill—who have played lead roles for the major part of their careers—enacted the negative roles. Vivek Oberoi: Shoot Out At Lokhandwala

Vivek Oberoi was once best known as Chandu, the character in his debut film Company, which sky rocketed him into the big league. But Oberoi’s role in Shootout At Lokhandwala, as Maya Dolas, an underworld don with dreams of reaching the top all on his own, is much more scary, menacing and shocking. The scene where he kills a man on the temple steps gave me goose bumps! He bounced back big time with this Apoorva Lakhia film and in 2008 will be seen in the filmmaker`s next venture, Mission Istanbul.
