At the press meet, Trisha said: Horror is my favorite genre and I loved playing both Mohini and Vaishnavi in the film. In the two characters, my favorite is Mohini as her body language, expressions, and dialogue delivery are different. The actress said that the entire team worked hard to deliver the product without any comprise. Our producer Lakshman helped us shoot nearly 85-90% of the film in London. Mohini is going to be a visual treat for the audiences with all necessary ingredients for a commercial entertainer, added Trisha.
Though I didnt experience any paranormal activities, I believe in ghosts, said Trisha who condemned the increasing child abuse and sexual crimes in the country.
Mohinis director Madhesh said: Trisha was initially skeptical whether she would be able to perform such a heavy character. Later, we encouraged and she readily agreed. The biggest challenge for me is to ensure safety for Trisha because she pulled off risky stunts on her own.
Madhesh also said that he used genetics to explain the concept within the horror angle in Mohini. Personally, both Madhesh and producer Lakshman of Prince Pictures were amused by the sudden change of a thin girl who was uncontrollable that even 10 men couldnt hold after she was 'possessed by a ghost' in Kerala.
