In one of the publicity events for her new film Kahaani, Vidya - wearing a maxi and a fake belly - walked around Khar with pamphlets printed with her missing husband's picture.
As word spread that Vidya was at the station, the organisers had a tough time trying to tame the 5,000-strong crowd as they tried to get a glimpse of the actress.
Though many had got wind of the fact that Vidya would be at Khar - and had turned up to see her, giving commuters a tough time - they didn't recognise the star at first.
The actress made an inconspicuous entry, and people woke up to her presence only when she stopped them saying: 'This is my husband. He is missing. Can you please help me find him?'
