The star actor is on a promotional campaign. On Tuesday afternoon Vikram and Suseenthiran were at Puthiya Thalaimurai, the number one Tamil news channel for an exclusive interview.
Vikram looking thin and mean and waxed eloquent about Rajapattai: “It is a light-hearted commercial entertainer where I play a `gym boy`. This is the second time (the first was Bheema) I have hit the gym to look trim. Rajapattai is an out and out mass commercial mass masala on the lines of my earlier Saamy, Dhill and Dhool.”
The actor feels the basic storyline of the film on “land grabbing mafia” is relevant in today`s times. Suseenthiran`s script has always been a winner whether it is a class film like Azhagar Samiyin Kudirai or a commercial Naan Mahaan Alla. Vikram feels: “Rajapattai has a strong storyline along with the right commercial cocktail of action, songs, visuals and glitz. It has all the ingredients to become a hit.”
Rajapattai is opening big in 450 to 500 screens in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and overseas on December 23. The advance booking for the film has opened today. It is sure to take a fantastic opening as it gets a solo opening in TN, and no big releases till Pongal 2012.
