When controversy rocked Bollywood

After reading about the controversies that plagued socio-political movie, Aarakshan, we take a look at a few Bollywood movies that have ruffled feathers and created a stir for different reasons.

Aarakshan

Based on caste-based reservations in educational institutions, the movie was sure to run into trouble because of the sensitive topic it chose to address.

It was banned in three states until director Prakash Jha agreed to make a few changes. Punjab and Andhra Pradesh revoked the ban, but the Uttar Pradesh government chose to reserve its judgement. It plans to defend its stand on Aarakshan in the Supreme Court, too.
