An initial setback on the first day, over the delay in procurement of a fire license, forced organisers to cancel Day One of the fashion spectacle. The organisers, Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), received considerable bad press due to the delays and many designers threatened to pull out of the showcase. Satya Paul has already called off his spot for the finale.
Meanwhile, failures aside, latest pictures from the fashion week carried a splash of Bollywood colour with Hema Malini walking the ramp with daughter Eesha Deol. The mum-daughter team dazzled amidst various hues that marked the first days of the event.
