If there ever was a redeeming factor, it's that he's so beyond help it's comical and that his latest verbal diarrhea - calling Jessica Simpson "sexual napalm" - has bagged her a whole lotta dates. Good on you, Mayer! This one good deed might just save your reputation with us, but not the ladies at the receiving end of your prattle. And no, no matter how well you strum your guitar, there's no escaping it.
PS: Jessica Simpson has been the forgiving kind. The singer appeared on Oprah and stepped over the John Mayer mess quite elegantly.
