Yash and Oviya, who had starred in the original Tamil film, play the lead.
V.Manohar has provided the music for the film. It is produced by Sharavana Murthy and directed by Pradeep Raj.
Kirataka has been shot completely in the native surroundings of Mandya district which has elevated the rural feel in the film, says the director. A song which has references to more than one hundred villages in Mandya district has already become a raging hit.
"Yash has shown lot of energy in his performance. Oviya`s performance is much better compared to the original. I was lucky to get Nagabharana and Tara madam for the movie. The film is sure to be better than the original", says a confident Pradeep Raj.
