Three hundred-odd students - who had waited for almost four hours - did not know that David was the "VVIP" and Aamir was the "big star" who would be calling on them at their college.
David, dressed in a blue suit, and Aamir, clad in a sweat shirt and a black blazer, fielded questions from students who wanted to know why the society was biased towards women.
"The root cause of the problem is in patriarchal thinking that men are stronger, better and superior," said Aamir. "If we have to progress as a nation then we should stop killing girl child."
This is not Aamir's first brush with foreign dignitaries. He met with US President Barack Obama in 2010 during his India visit.
Turns out, this time, the British Prime Minister had expressed a desire to meet the actor thanks to his growing popularity in the UK - after he was featured on the cover of TIME magazine.
David was also impressed with Aamir's social work through his TV show Satyamev Jayate.
