The Tamil remake of Malayalam hit Bhaskar The Rascal has been titled as Bhaskar Oru Rascal.
The official pooja of the film was held this week in Kochi with the presence of director Siddique, Arvind Swamy, Amala Paul and others.
Harshini Movies will be bankrolling the film, which will also have Siddique’s good friend Ramesh Khanna in an important role. Arvind Swamy and Amala Paul will be seen reprising Mammootty and Nayanthara’s roles respectively.
Baby Nainika (daughter of Meena) of Theri fame will be seen as the cute little daughter of Amala while there is a boy character of same age who has to play Aravind Swamy's son. The story is about these two kids who become friends and unite their single parents. The makers wanted jayam Ravi's son Aarav to play the role and when it didn't work, they have contacted actor Srikanth to introduce his son Aahil.
Sources say that Siddique is planning to complete the film in one schedule in the same locations where the original was shot.
