Pooja Gandhi has been in the news very often since the announcement of her maiden production Abhinetri.
Initially she took hold of the public interest by announcing her production house with a film that was inspired by the life of an yester year actress Kalpana.
The photoshoot which was a part of the movie became the talk of the town for some time and why not, when the photoshoot clearly depicted what the movie would be about. The looks that Pooja donned for the photoshoot was similar to the yesteryear actress Kalpana and was appreciated by everyone.
The shoot of the movie had to be stalled many times due to crisis in financial matters and now that the movie has been completed and is all set to hit the theatres, trouble has befallen on the movie with an author claiming that the content has been copied from her book. The writer Bhagyalakshmi of the book Abhinetriya Antaranga has alleged that Abhinetri has been based on her book and the content has been used without her consent.
The issue which was taken to the local court has only increased problems for the team as the court has passed a stay on the movie and in favour of the author, though the actress and the director have repeatedly said that the movie has got to do nothing with the content of the book.
“This is been done deliberately done by the author for I see no other valid reason behind this. She has been quiet for this long and now has raised the issue, when the movie is ready for release. I am not aware of what her intentions are. We will sort this out as soon as possible,” said the actress who seems all tensed about the situation.
