Director B R Vijayalakshmi’s Abhiyude Kadha Anuvinteyum comes with the tagline, “A Fearless Love Story”. Well, it certainly needs some real “fearlessness” to come up with a silly movie like this one!

The story is about a bubbly girl named Anu (Pia Bajpai), who posts videos about her many escapades. Need a sample? Here it is. One of the early scenes in the story has Anu rushing to a hospital in an ambulance. The road is blocked midway as an elephant has gone wild. Remember, not even the policeman there is bothered about the ambulance.

Parmanu review: Sincerely mounted patriotic tale | Solo: A Star Wars Story review - Alden Ehrenreich holds his stead as Han Solo | Book Club review: Light-hearted naughty entertainer | Oru Kuppa Kathai Review: A true-to-life story about extramarital affairs | Kaalakkoothu Review: A predictable drama set in Madurai

>So what will Anu do? She pays a local man, buys a whole bunch of banana and feed the elephant herself as her friend captures the video of her bravado. Now, who was in the ambulance? A pregnant goat that gives birth soon after.

This and a few other videos are enough for our hero Abhimanyu (Tovino Thomas) to fall head over heels in love with Anu. A Facebook request, some selfies, a few phone calls and they meet. Then, in a matter of some hours, they get married.

What is the story, did you ask? That is a twist in the tale, which is revealed post interval. We can go on explaining how pretentious and melodramatic this one is, but we don’t want to play spoilsports to those who want to give this one a try.

With an absurd storyline that could make those unending TV soaps look like gems in comparison, this movie tests your patience, that even though it is just over 2 hours long.

Now, what prompted a promising young hero like Tovino Thomas to accept this script would be an interesting thing to know. He performs in a lazy way, while Pia Bajpai fails to impress. Suhasini has a brief role, which she has performed very well.

In all fairness, Abhiyude Kadha Anuvinteyum has a storyline that is worth narrating. But all that never comes to your mind, after the way this has been presented. Try at your own risk!
