Mumbai-based Kannada film actress Parul Yadav was rushed to hospital on 23 January. The Govindaya Namaha actress was taking her dog for a walk on Jogeshwari Road in the suburbs of Mumbai, when she was savagely attacked by six stray dogs.
Reports suggest the incident occurred close to her house in the early hours of the evening when the street was bustling with people. However, none of the onlookers came to her aid. One of her neighbours saw the vicious attack and rushed out to help her, but by then the actress had suffered from multiple bite injuries on her body, including her face and head.
“The actress is in shock. She was taken to Kokilaben Hospital for treatment. Although her wounds are being treated, doctors said she may require surgery. She is likely to be operated on Wednesday.” said Parul’s sister, Sheetal.
The actress who is a big name is Sandalwood, had recently signed her next project, a Kannada remake of the Kangana Ranaut-starrer Queen.
