Yesteryear heroine Sheela criticized the top Malayalam stars for not giving enough for flood relief.
“The stars should donate the remuneration of at least one film to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. They earn anywhere between 30 lakhs to 1 crore even from a single advertisement. They have cars that cost 3-4 crores. And still they donate so less. Every artiste has grown in their stature thanks to the money paid by the viewers to buy tickets,” said Sheela.
According to her a star show can be organized for fund raising.
Sheela donated Rs. 5 lakhs to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.
