The film is touted as the year's biggest hit having grossed more than Rs. 15 crores.
But A.P.Arjun directed Adhdhuri, which completed 100 days run in many centres, has not come out of the several troubles it has been facing from the day of its launch three years ago.
The latest is that the technicians who worked for the film has not been paid their remuneration yet.
The film's heroine Radhika Pandit took a ridiculously low remuneration when the film was launched. Dhruva Sarja, who became a sensation after the film's release, had said that his remuneration can be paid after the film gets ready. The film did not even have a big star cast to boast off.
The technicians were new and most of them worked with great passion to make a film which set records for a medium budget film. Hari Krishna was the only known technician of the lot.
Sources said that A.P.Arjun brought in Rs. 32 lakh which was a loan from his friends. The dance choreographers and other chief technicians worked because of their relationship with A.P.Arjun, who now finds himself in a big soup.
The film`s two producers, Ben Chikkaswamy and Shankara Reddy, have not done anything to settle the matter yet.
Director A.P.Arjun is the only person who has been trying to get some justice for the technicians. He is also busy with the script for Vijay starrer Bruce Lee to be made by Jayanna now, but is keen to fight it out with the producers.
