Young writer-director A.P. Arjun, after making his directorial debut with the romantic Ambaari, makes a film that is more evolved in his second attempt, Adhdhuri.

With a lavish production design, good choreography (Dhruv proves to be a superb dancer), good action sequences, and cinematography, Adhdhuri sets itself apart. It has a fresh narration. The dialogues and songs are also praise worthy.

Arjun (Dhruv) meets Poorna (Radhika Pandit) and instantly falls for her. The movie takes a turn when Arjun does not turn up on the day they had planned on getting married at the sub- registrar`s office. An infuriated Poorna decides to marry the person chosen by her father.

The first half is breezy, but there are sequences which are a little slow too. The film picks its pace in the second half. The sequences which leads towards the climax is the best in recent times.

Both Dhruv and Radhika Pandit are in superb form. While Dhruv does not show any traces of being a debutant with his good performance, Radhika proves once again that she is unbeatable in emotional sequences. Dhruv breezes through the comedy and action sequences quite effortlessly, but he is a surprise in the emotional sequences.

Radhika Pandit is mesmerizing with a great screen presence, solid dialogue-delivery and her acting prowess. She looks beautiful in designer costumes and transforms fabulously in the song sequences. Tarun is also a surprise package, his presence in the film was kept a secret, and charms the audience.

Adhdhuri is a complete entertainer with good visuals, songs, and a dash of emotions.

You will instantly fall in love with this love story. The film is worth a watch!

Rating: Three and a half stars.
