Bollywood actress Aditi Rao on Tuesday inaugurated the 11th showroom of P.C Chandra Jewellers in Kolkata, at Behala.
Present on the occasion were P.C Chandra Jewellers, Joint Managing Director, Suvro Chandra and Deputy Managing Director of P.C Chandra Jewellers, Amitava Chandra.
"When I was young I used to think why actors are the talk of the town. But now I realise that they are so much of responsibilities. I have worked with Ranbir Kapoor, Randeep Hooda, Ali Zafar and all are really good. Everybody is so different. When it comes to jewellery, I mainly love to wear any kind of old jewellery. I am very happy to be associated with P.C Chandra Jewellers," said Rao.
When asked about reason of opening a showroom in Behala, Amitava Chakravarty said, "This is the 23rd showroom of P.C. Chandra across India. Its a big day for all of us to represent in Behala. Behala is a very large market for us and many customers used to question us why we don't have any store in Behala."
He added, "In last one and half months there has been a rise in consumption of gold by the consumers. We hope that in recent years there will be some stability in the gold consumption by the consumers. We have plans of expanding our showrooms in West Bengal and even all over India. This year promises to be much better than the last year."
The new showroom will house trendy traditional wedding jewellery from the wedding collection, contemporary and lighter designs from the Goldlites collection.
The range of the wedding collection starts from Rs. 2 lakh onwards. The showroom will be operational from June 5.
