On Thursday, ADMK party cadres protested outside theaters screening Thalapathy Vijay’s Sarkar and they also vandalized the premises, by pulling down posters and cut-outs ( see pic) .
According to the protestors, Sarkar has scenes mocking the free home appliances provided by the Tamil Nadu Government and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar's character name Komala Valli is an indirect attack on late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
Last night, Murugadoss took to his Twitter page to say that police arrived at his residence to arrest him. "Police had come to my house late tonight and banged the door several times.Since I was not there they left the premises. Right now I was told there is no police outside my house", tweeted AR Murugadoss.
Meanwhile, Superstar Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vishal and many others supported Sarkar. All of them have said that once a film cleared censors, no one should demand removing scenes and protesting in front of theaters is condemnable.
