Agent Vinod for masses: Saif

The first look of much-awaited Agent Vinod is out and Saif Ali Khan says he wants to move beyond the 'suited-booted' Enlgish speaking audiences and reach out to the masses with the thriller.

"I think Vinod is a universal name and you can see it written on the back of an auto-rickshaw. India is a very big country. There is a huge market out there apart from people who wear suits and speak English. So, we want to reach out to as many people with this film as possible. I think that what was the reason why we called it that," the 41-year-old said at a promotional event.

Saif is not only starring in it, but it is being produced by his banner Illuminati Films.

The title Agent Vinod is the same as the 1977 film starring Mahendra Sandhu as the protagonist.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Agent Vinod had been in the making for quite some time but Saif is unperturbed about the delay. "I think it's a big film, it's an interesting film. So, there were rumours from the beginning that the film is getting delayed or it's getting over-budgeted. We don't have to bother about these things."
