Aindhaam Thalaimurai Siddha Vaidhiya Sigamani (ATSVS) is a totally outdated illogical film. Such kind of comedy films used to work in the 1980?s and early 90?s, but modern audiences ask too many questions.

ATSVS falls flat as the director has made hero character look like a fool, a person who cannot read and write and cannot even count the money in his pocket! Today?s Tamil commercial mass masala has to be logical to a certain extent and you can?t market old wine in new tetra pack.

The idea of director LG Ravichandran seems to be to bring a group of current Tamil comedians together with a young hero and heroine and spin a comedy riot. Sorry it does not work that way as even a comedy needs a script which will make people laugh.

A school dropout (Bharath) with no formal education becomes a Siddha doctor. He falls in love with an ?educated? girl (Nandita) and her rich father (Thambi Ramaiah) mistakes him for a MBBS doctor! They marry and soon everybody?s ?secrets? are revealed.

Bharath is sincere and does what is expected of him, Nandita just sleep walks as the role is shallow. Thambi Ramaiah is loud, while Karunakaran fails to ignite the comedy scenes. The jokes fall flat and the film with a running time of 2 hours 30 minutes is difficult to sit through.
