Aindrita Ray debuts in Bengali cinema with a Kannada remake

Bong beauty and Sandalwood’s sensual actress Aindrita Ray is finally making her debut in Bengali film industry. After obtaining huge success as an actress in Sandalwood, Aindrita will be seen exploring her roots in her upcoming Bengali movie.

Aindrita was quoted saying "I've always contemplated making that debut in Bengali film. My relatives who live in Kolkata know I'm an actor, but they've always quizzed me on when I'd act in a Bengali film."

And finally that time has come when she will seen acting in her native language, Bengali, in the remake of Kannada movie Only Vishnuvardhana. Adding to this Aindrita said, "It is a complete coincidence that my first Bengali film happens to be a remake of a Kannada film. I think this symbolises me, for these are the two languages that I connect most to."

Only Vishnuvardhana movie released in 2011 received huge appreciation for its script and direction which had the audience clinched to their seats till the end. The original had Sudeep, Bhavana, Priya mani and Sonu Sood in prominent roles, while the remake will see top star of Bengali industry Jeet essaying the role of Sudeep. The movie will be directed by Raja Chanda and Aindrita will be enacting Bhavana’s role.

Aindrita is slated to start shooting for this movie early next month and was ecstatic about how her debut could not have been any bigger as the hero, director and the banner are all the best in the Bengali film industry.

Aindrita was set to debut last year itself when she was offered a role by Jeet whom she met during the Celebrity Cricket league but she could not due to her busy schedule.

Offlate after Lucia, Googly and Bachchan, Govindaya Namaha,  Only Vishnuvardhana is the latest to join the bandwagon of Kannada movies being remade in other languages.
