Nic Arts Chakravarthy produced, Lingusamy directed Ji will not release for Pongal! Three songs to be picturised on the lead pair of Ajit and Trisha are yet to be canned causing this unexpected postponement.
Trisha is being blamed for the postponement as she is not cooperating with the producers by giving adequate dates. The news of the postponement has created tremors in the trade as prominent theatres all over Tamilnadu were booked for the January 14 release.
Ajit fans are unhappy as they were eagerly waiting for the release of Ji on Pongal day, as it clashes with arch rival Vijay’s Tirupachi. Now Vijay’s film will sail through as it will not face any stiff competition.
When contacted, Trisha who is shooting for Nuvvostanante Ne Nenoddantana, a Telugu film in Hyderabad, she told Sify.com: “Why blame me? Do you know that I had doled out 24 days call-sheet to Ji, which they could not use and I had to sit at home. And they have only given me an advance and are yet to pay my remuneration”.
Trisha is right now busy completing the climax of Nuvvostanante Ne Nenoddantana, which will be her January 14 (Sankranthi release) in Telugu and now it is impossible to adjust dates. However she has given 10 days to complete the songs in mid-January. The latest we hear is that producer Chakravarthy is trying his best to release the film on January 26.
