[India], June 13 (ANI): 'Community' star Alison Brie, who made some alarming comments at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas regarding her audition for the HBO series 'Entourage', has now clarified her remarks.
The 34-year-old took to Twitter and wrote, "Clarification-I had a bikini top on UNDER my top. They didn't ask me to get totally topless. Sorry to disappoint you!"
For the uninitiated, after a screening of new series, 'GLOW', at the ATX Television Festival in Austin on Sunday, the star and fellow actress Betty Gilpin got on the topic of how Hollywood today compares to the industry in the 1980s, when the Netflix comedy-drama is set, reports E! Online.
"It has not changed that much. The audition process has not changed that much," she shared.
She also told an experience she faced at an 'Entourage' audition, Brie noted, "I auditioned for three lines on an episode of 'Entourage' that I had to go on in a bikini! Or like shorts and the tiniest shorts. And they were like, 'Ok, can you take your top off now?"
Gilpin remembered auditioning for a room full of men, one of whom asked her to take her hair down after she completed the scene.
'GLOW' casting director Jennifer Euston replied, "That's gross."
'GLOW' starts streaming June 23 on Netflix and tells the fictional origin story for the very real Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling league and is set amidst the big hair and bright spandex of the 1980s. (ANI)
