But hell awaits him at home when Nikhil discovers his family has already sought a bride - and is now looking to get him married to their choice.
Set in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi, Aloo Chat claims a rich masala essence, dipped in the usual turmoil that goes into planning a wedding. There are the usual wisecracks from the uncle, the weird epiphanies from the family head and then the dramatic housewife who turns a pressure cooker into a Shakespearan prop.
Aloo Chaat also brings in the American-meets-desi twist into the plot, with hottie Linda Arsenio playing the yankee who likes everything Indian - including Nikhil`s malfunctioning family.
Wonder what surprises this plate of Aloo Chaat can bring up. Catch it this Friday!
Aloo Chaat, releasing on March, 20, stars Aftab Shivdasani, Aamna Shariff, Linda Arsenio, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Manoj Pahwa and Dolly Ahluwalia. It`s being directed by Robby Grewal.
