Samantha was Dhanush's first choice as heroine for Vetrimaran's Vada Chennai. But in cinema, nothing is reality till it happens.

Vada Chennai which was supposed to start rolling only after Dhanush's much hyped Hollywood project. But in a sudden twist we heard that the actor's dream of going to west has been put on the back burner as the producers of the film have backed out and the film is put on hold.

So immediately, the smart businessman that he is, Dhanush summoned his good friend Vetrimaran and decided to start Vada Chennai on priority basis. And on the day of the pooja,  he announced that Vada Chennai will be a trilogy!

Samantha who was supposed to take a break after a string of hits and is riding high in Tollywood was in no mood to adhere to this sudden change of  plans. Sam, like any other girl has her own set of fears after she decided to tie the knot very soon. She is unable to decide if she will be able to do the three parts of Vada Chennai.

But on the contrary to this news, we also hear that Dhanush did not want to pay Samantha the huge salary that she is demanding and getting in Telugu and wants to replace her. Now Wunderbar Films who was looking around for a heroine has zeroed in on Amala Paul who is willing to give bulk dates to this Vetrimaran project.

Remember that Dhanush-Amala pair is back after the blockbuster Velai Illa Pattadhari.  The actress is yet to sign on the dotted line and an official announcement is expected soon.
