Receiving her award, in an evening gown by Sanchita Ajjampur from the Fall 2012 collection, she looked every bit the Diva. Her hair was pulled up into a textured updo and her skin looked fresh and youthful. It just put all the focus on her dark lips, which pulled together the flapper style nude gown together with the minimal jewellery to ooze classic glamour.
Her fervour to silence critics and give her contemporaries a run for their money certainly shone through.
Vira Shah, who styled Amala, says: "It’s an absolute pleasure to style her, since Amala will wear anything while completely trusting my choice for her. Her face has that old world charm, so those classic vintage dresses would do wonders, while her body frame and attitude would carry off any look with aplomb. Her fabulous complexion has never been a problem, but she should accessorize and experiment a lot more."
