American Daylight premiered in Europe

Bobby Bedi's English production American Daylight premiered in Europe at the London international Film festival to absolutely full houses. The audience was a good mix of cinemagoers, youngsters, film critics and buyers. The small-budgeted film has been received very well by the British audience and in fact is even being compared and rated much better than the recent release Bride and Prejudice .

American Daylight is a love story set in a call centre in Delhi where the routine enquiries of bills, banking and insurance in the USA and Europe are answered by call centre workers. Sujata, renamed ‘Sue', (played by Koel Purie) for the purpose of speaking to American customers, works in a call centre in an Indian metropolis and encounters a client called Lawrence ( played by the eminent British actor Nick Moran) . The film is about a relationship that develops between them and the obstacles faced by them. It also features noted Indian actors like Vijay Raaz, Raj Zutshi and Gulshan Grover in a friendly appearance.

American Daylight is directed by the Academy Award winner Roger Christian. He received an Oscar for set decoration on director George Lucas' Star Wars . His other prominent films include Nostradamus, Masterminds and Battlefield Earth .
