Veteran star Dr Akkineni Nageswara Rao, the pioneer of dance sequences on Telugu silver screen, said that Chiranjeevi did prove that dance matters in the success of a movie.
"Though dance in Telugu films took off with me, there is greatness in Chiranjeevi's performance. As he dances, in spite of a big presence on the screen, every one will concentrate on him. Does he have any bones in the body? Why did I not do like that? I get these doubts," ANR said.
His praise for the megastar came at a function held in Hyderabad to release the biography of Chiranjeevi written by senior film critic Pasupuleti Ramarao. ANR said that Chiranjeevi is a man of self-confidence and he came up in life with sheer hard work, without any Godfather.
Hero Ram Charan, who received a copy of the publication from ANR, said: "I regularly keep asking dad (Chiru) to write his autobiography. He says why should we take trouble to write about ourselves. Several senior writers sought dad for his permission to write his official biography, and that too did not happen. Now, I am happy a good book like this has come up, after a long time."
