Aravindante Adhithikal review: Feel good entertainer!
A nice journey that would make the viewer come out of the theatres with a smile

Vineeth Sreenivasan, Sreenivasan, Nikhila Vimal, Urvashi
Director M Mohanan, who made the much appreciated Kadha Parayumbol as his debut venture, is known for his family dramas. Aravindante Adhithikal goes along in those lines, with all the ingredients to make the viewers feel the various emotions as an enjoyable ride.
The story is set almost entirely at the Kollur Mookambika temple, where a young boy named Aravindan (Vineeth Sreenivasan) is left abandoned by a mother. Madhavan (Sreenivasan), who runs a modest guest house there, takes care of the kid. And he grows up managing the guest house and wins over the guests with his friendly nature.
Uncle: My dad's friend review: A terrific performance from Mammootty | Diya review: A predictable revenge thriller l Avengers: Infinity War review: Surpasses expectations l Pity review: Elegantly conceived and perversely fascinating
Things go on for a while with some funny moments and the story takes a different turn when a mom comes at the temple for her daughter’s dance ‘arangettam’. The mom played by Urvashi is a livewire, but the daughter Varada (Nikhila Vimal) is pretty reserved in the beginning.
But after a series of incidents Varada becomes close to Aravindan and they help each other in certain crucial aspects of their lives.
It’s a simple storyline that is being narrated here without much dramatic twists and turns or thrilling incidents. But the director has packed enough to make the viewers engaged all along. The film succeeds in giving an experience of visiting the holy temple and the premises, with its nice visuals. One of the highlights of the film is its superb music by Shaan Rahman.
Vineeth Sreenivasan scores with a convincing performance that makes the viewers feel for his character. Sreenivasan’s character has a limited role to play. Urvashi is superb with her comic timing. Nikhila Vimal is impressive as well.
Aravindante Adhithikal is a nice journey that would make the viewer come out of the theatres with a smile. Take the trip!
