Ajith’s eagerly awaited Vishnuvardhan directed Arrambam has run into trouble.
A petition has been filed in the Madras High Court by B Rajeswari, represented by her son B Anantha Krishnan, that Arrambam producer AM Ratnam has not returned money borrowed from the financier.
In the petition it is made clear that AM Ratnam of Sri Surya Movies had borrowed Rs 1.50 Crore, for making the Tamil film Kedi in 2005. However he neither repaid the principal amount nor the interest, which has now become Rs 4, 60, 50,000.
The petitioner came to know that AM Ratnam is now producing Arrambam, scheduled for a Diwali release. The petitioner has asked the court from releasing the film till his dues are met.
Meanwhile AM Ratnam says he is not producer of the film. The film is produced by Sri Sathya Sai Movies, A Raghuram. They have also issued a press release saying that Re-Recording of the film is going on in full swing and film will be censored shortly and it will be a Diwali release.
