Arya’s Magilzh Thirumeni directed Meaghamann opened to positive response on Christmas day. The Hitesh Jhabak produced film is getting decent reviews and positive response at the box-office.
Meaghamann would not have hit the screens, but for the large heartedness of its hero Arya. The film had huge financial problems before release, as producer Jhabak had huge liabilities as he has last Vijay Sethupathy film Vanmham was a total write off.
Hitesh Jhabak, the producer of Meaghamann, was all praise for his hero Arya. Said an emotionally charged Jhabak : “ Meaghamann would not have seen the light of the day but for Arya’s noble gesture and kindness. He waived my payment due to him as salary and also went out of his way by standing guarantee for my earlier loans. Which hero will be so magnanimous and kind hearted?”
Jhabak concluded by saying : “Arya is my saviour. His kindness and nobility shines as he did not take his salary & then settled all dues of film. He is a great human being and understands the problems of a producer. I have been in the industry from the time my dad Nemichand Jhabak taught me the trade. I’m yet to come across such a good man as Arya.”
Meaghamann has taken a decent opening and the film may turn the corner for Jhabak. He has already sold the satellite rights to Vijay TV for a rumoured Rs 8.5 Crore, a high price considering that the market is in shambles. Jhabak intends to pay back Arya as soon as possible.
Meanwhile Meaghamann has established Arya as a saleable action hero with an opening. It is bound to help the star as his Purampokku, Yatchan and VSOP gets ready for release in the first half of 2015.
