Deepika Padukone, Richa Chadda and Rekha stood out in their traditional attire - white saris with some interesting bling.
Katrina Kaif brought in a pop of colour in bright pink, while Priyanka Chopra flashed her long legs and pretty smile in a beige romper.
Also spotted were Abhishek Bachchan - who played the attentive husband to Aishwarya Rai - Hrithik Roshan, Farah Khan, Shatrughan Sinha, Madhur Bhandarkar and Siddharth Roy Kapur.
But the party was not just a celebration of Bhansali's 50th birthday; it was also a reconciliation of sorts.
The director, who is venturing into television with the classic love story Saraswatichandra, invited frenemies Ismail Darbar and Karan Johar to the do. And they accepted!
Bhansali and Darbar had a falling out after the director turned elsewhere for music for his film Bajirao Mastani, while Karan and Bhansali didn't see eye to eye after the former spoofed Bhansali in his movie, I Hate Luv Stories.
Now all that is just water under the bridge, and there was only time for fun, laughter and big slices of birthday cake at the party!
