Nearly two years after it was completed cameraman Jeeva’s directorial debut Ullam Ketkume is releasing. This film had got stuck in the cans due to deep financial problems and the latest news is that it releases on June 3.
It was the Supreme Court that finally cleared the decks for the release, as earlier the Madras High court by a February 25 order appointed “Joint Receivers” for the film, which was objected by Prasad Labs who had gone to Supreme Court.
Now the collections from the film will be received by “joint receivers” who will pay Prasad Labs for 72 prints of the film. And the irony of it is that its hero Shaam and heroine Laila is not hot while the others in the cast like Arya (Arindhum Ariyamalum) and Asin are riding a wave today.
So if all goes well, Ullam Ketkume will finally make it to the cinema halls in Tamilnadu.
