Bappi Lahri to croon in Tamil

Renowned Bollywood director Bappi Lahri who was in the news recently for the hit song Ooh la la la, in Dirty Picture is now set to enter Kollywood, as a singer.

He is recording a song for the Tamil film Karupampetti directed by Prabhu Raja Chozhan.

This Ajmal starrer has music by Tamil Padam fame Kannan who was convinced he wanted Bappi to sing after hearing his voice in the Ooh la la number. Says he, 'I felt he was the perfect choice for my ' naughty raja' number.  He said he would only sing if he liked the tune so we sent it to him. He loved it and did the recording for us in Mumbai.' 

Apparently he has predicted that the song will be a runaway hit.

The lyrics are by Kapilan and the makers hope to picturise the song on Hollywood singer and actor Katy Perry(!).
