Veteran director Bapu is all set to direct Nandamuri Balakrishna in the remake version of 1963 blockbuster Lava Kusha, which starred late NT Rama Rao as Lord Rama.
It is for the first time that Balakrishna and Bapu are coming together to spin the mythological wonder for the audience.
The proposed flick will be produced by Yalamanchali Sai Babu, who said that the film would be launched on September 30. The script will be based on the original film Lava Kusa and some sub-texts on Ramayana. The Lava Kusa episode is not to be found in the original Ramayana of Valmiki. JK Bharavi, who provided scripts for blockbuster Annamayya, Ramadasu, is also involved in the script work.
The name of many top actors are making rounds as the probable choice to play the protagonist Seeta. Ilayaraja is likely to be roped in to score music for the venture.
