New Delhi: Renowned filmmaker Basu Chatterjee is to chair the 17-member feature film jury, documentary filmmaker Bhim Sen the non-feature jury while award-winning critic K N T Sastry will head the book jury for the 51st National Film Awards for 2003.
The other members of the feature film jury are: Mohan Kondajji (Kannada film producer), N Shankar (Telugu film director), Ms Sumalatha (popular Kannada actress), veteran filmmaker K B Tilak, Malayalam filmmaker N Krishnakumar (Unni), Oriya filmmaker Alaya Kumar Mohanty, Assamese music director Sher Choudhary, cameraman and director Virendra Saini, filmmaker and writer Jyoti Sarup, Manipuri filmmaker Makhonmani Mongsaba, Marathi filmmaker Raj Datt, actress V Nirmala, and film critics Ms Madhu Jain, Ms Rashmi Doraiswami, Ms Gayatri Chatterjee, and Ms Shailaja Bajpai.
The non-feature film will have seven members instead of five as in previous years. The members other than Mr Sen are Malayalam documentary filmmaker Jose Sebastian, Assamese short filmmaker Satyabrata Kalita, Mumbai-based short filmmaker Ms Haimanti Banerjee, Pune documentary filmmaker Rajiv Khandagle, Kannada filmmaker N S Shankar, and award-winning filmmaker Anwar Jamal.
Other members of the book jury will be Kannada film critic Kodalli Shivaram and Pune author Ms Aruna Anant Damle.
