It was Black magic at the Chennai box-office. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's
critically acclaimed Black netted an incredible Rs 9,52,000 net from
two screens with Satyam alone netting Rs 7,07,000! Vijay's Tirupachi
is way down at number two position having netted just Rs 6,27,000 from four
screens in Chennai city.
Close on its heels at number three we have Kalignarin Kannamma which has become
a "must-see" for DMK cadres in the city. The Sanjay Dutt-Ashwarya Rai-Zayed
Khan snooze inducing Shabd took a good opening but has fallen by Monday
is at number four and the biggest surprise packet is Udayananu Tharam,
the Mohanlal starrer which has shown an increase in its collections more than
its opening weekend collections at Sangam!
all round superb performance
and a bit preachy for the common man

seems to be fading.
