Sukran has taken over the Chennai box-office from Ji. Vijay's special appearance seems to have done the trick as the film took a 95 percent opening in the four Chennai screens. At number two, is another Vijay starrer Tirupachi which remains steady.

Ajit's Ji is turning out to be a nightmare for the actor as the second week end collection in four cinemas was a measly 35 percent. Kathal continues to rock at number four and Black is still going steady, at number five.

Film Cast Pluses Minuses Trade fact

Vijay, Ravi Krishna, Nadeesha Vijay's punch line dialogues and action scenes Nothing new in story or presentation It has taken a very good start but by Monday noon show, has slowly started sliding. The trade expects the film to be an average grosser.

Vijay, Mallika,Trisha,Vadivel. Vijay and his electrifying screen presence Same old recycled violence with nothing new in story and presentation! Still attracting repeat audience.

Ajit, Trisha, Charan Raj Ajit's knock out performance No comedy track, songs are weak and fans are not liking it. After taking a fantastic initial the film has started sliding from second week.

A very touching story plus good performance from lead pair. contrived climax and slow narration in the second half The film is drawing huge family audience and from Chennai city alone it may collect Rs 80 Lakhs, its production cost!

Amitabh Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Shernaz Patel Class act, all round superb performance. Too classy and a bit preachy for the common man Has taken a fantastic opening with Rs 9, 52, 000 net from two screens with Satyam alone netting Rs 7,07,000!

(Ratings are based on the box office collections and the cost of the film)
